After scanning through Facebook's 721 million users and excluding celebrity/miscellaneous fan pages, Backstrom was able to come up with 3.74 people. 99.6% of all random user pairs were connected by 5 people while 92% were connected by 4 people. Chameleons do NOT change colors to blend with their surroundings!
That chameleons change colors to disguise themselves is a common misconception. The also speculate that another changing colors could be advantageous is that it lets them adjust to various temperatures and light situations. For example, if the chameleon is cold, it will change to a darker color to absorb more light!
The song 'Pumped Up Kicks' is about school shootings!
The song has drawn much criticism, because many think the song's message is that violence is OK. However, "Foster the People" the band that performs the song said the song's purpose is to start a conversation between parents and kids on gun violence! The song was written and recorded in five hours while leader Mark Foster was working as a commercial jingle writer. Many people also believe the song to be about the Westroads Mall shooting in Omaha, Nebraska because the lyrics name the shooter as Robert which is also the name of the Westroads Mall shooter. However, these allegations were "just a coincidence," according to the band. For more info on the song, click the source
