A man went through the Marine ranks twice, just because he could!

Lewis "Chesty" Puller fought guerrillas in Haiti and Nicaragua, and participated in some of the bloodiest battles of World War II and the Korean War. Puller retired from the Marine Corps in 1955, spending the rest of his life in Virginia.

He joined the Marines as a private, got promoted to Sergeant and then became an officer as a Lieutenant, then got discharged, enlisted as a Private again, then became an officer again, and ended up being a Lieutenant General. As it should be for any good badass military commander, Chesty Puller was admired by his men and feared by his enemies.

He always led from the front, fighting in the trenches with the men, and never flinched under even the most serious fire. One time a grenade landed next to him, and when the rest of the guys around him dove for cover he glanced at it and nonchalantly said, “Oh, that. It’s a dud.”

He inspired loyalty and courage in his Marines, treated his men well, insisted on the best equipment and discipline for his troops, and had a no fear, win-at-all-costs attitude that won him fourteen medals for combat bravery in addition to countless unit citations and campaign ribbons. He is the most highly-decorated Marine in history, and a legendary figure amongst his brethren. To this day, Marines at Parris Island end their day by saying, "Good night Chesty Puller, wherever you are!"

Gay swan couples lure females into a threesome to steal an egg from her!

An estimated one-quarter of all black swans pairings are of homosexual males. They steal nests, or form temporary threesomes with females to obtain eggs, driving away the female after she lays the eggs.

More of their cygnets survive to adulthood than those of different-sex pairs, possibly due to their superior ability to defend large portions of land. The same reasoning has been applied to male flamingo pairs raising chicks. Studies have shown that 10 to 15 percent of female western gulls in some populations in the wild exhibit homosexual behavior.

Research has shown that the environmental pollutant methylmercury can increase the prevalence of homosexual behavior in male American White Ibis. The study involved exposing chicks in varying dosages to the chemical and measuring the degree of homosexual behavior in adulthood. The results discovered was that as the dosage was increased the likelihood of homosexual behavior also increased.

The endocrine blocking feature of mercury has been suggested as a possible cause of sexual disruption in other bird species. Mallards form male-female pairs only until the female lays eggs, at which time the male leaves the female. Mallards have rates of male-male sexual activity that are unusually high for birds, in some cases, as high as 19 percent of all pairs in a population.

During college, Will Ferrell dressed up as a janitor and pretended to clean his friends' classes!

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Will Ferrell became interested in performing while a student at University High School in Irvine, California, where he made his school's daily morning announcements over the public address system in disguised voices.

While at USC he would dress up in a janitor's uniform and go into his friends' classrooms and clean. He started as a member of the Los Angeles comedy/improvisation group The Groundlings, where fellow cast members Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph and former "Saturday Night Live" repertory players such as Laraine Newman, Jon Lovitz and Phil Hartman began their careers. It was there he met Chris Kattan and the two became good friends and both went on to "Saturday Night Live" later.

He has also appeared on several television programs, Will also lent his voice to the armless and legless dad of cartoon family "The Oblongs". In 1995 he became a feature cast member at "Saturday Night Live" during the show's rapid re-casting. He was declared quite possibly the worst cast member ever during his first season.

However, his talents of impersonations and range of characters shot him forward to making him arguably the greatest "Saturday Night Live" cast member ever. During his seven year run he is one of the few cast members to ever be nominated for an Emmy for a performance and played George W. Bush during the 2000 elections. He's appeared in every "Saturday Night Live" movie since his premiere on the show in 1995.

In 2002 he left "Saturday Night Live" and was the only cast member to ever receive a farewell from all the current cast members at the end of the season finale show. Since leaving the show Will has pursued a career in films. In 2000 he married and now lives in L.A.

Hitler's family name would have been Schicklgruber. His dad changed it in 1877!

Adolf Hitler's family tree is complicated. You will notice that the last name "Hitler" had many variations that were often used almost interchangeably. Some of the common variances were Hitler, Hiedler, Hüttler, Hytler, and Hittler. Alois Schicklgruber did change his name on January 7, 1877 to "Hitler," which was the only form of the last name that his son, Adolf, used.

The family tree is filled with multiple marriages. Look carefully at the marriage dates and the birth dates of their children. Many children were born illegitimately or born only a couple months after marriage. Although the graph shows Johann Georg Hiedler as Alois Schicklgruber's father, this is a contested issue. Hitler had a living sister.

We often think of him as a loner, but his sister Paula survived him. Also, Alois Schicklgruber's first wife has not been included. He married Anna Glassl-Hörer in October 1873. Anna became an invalid soon after the marriage, in 1880 she filed for a separation, and she died three years later. Alois and Anna had no children together.

A guy once jammed HBO's satellite signal to protest their rates.

On the morning of April 27, 1986, at 12:32am, John R. MacDougall, a satellite TV dealer in Ocala, Florida, was working at Central Florida Teleport, a company that uplinks services to satellites. He was overseeing the uplink of the movie Pee-wee's Big Adventure as part of the evening's programming for the now-defunct pay-per-view network People's Choice.

At the end of his shift, he swung the dish back into it's storage position, which aimed it at the location of Galaxy 1, the satellite that carried HBO. As a protest against the introduction of high fees and scrambling equipment, he transmitted a signal onto the satellite which overrode HBO's airing of The Falcon and the Snowman for 4½ minutes.

The text message which appeared on the sets of HBO subscribers across the eastern half of the country read: GOODEVENING HBO FROM CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT $12.95/MONTH ? NO WAY ! MacDougall chose the name "Captain Midnight" from a movie he had recently seen, On the Air Live with Captain Midnight.

After media pressure forced the Federal Communications Commission to act, MacDougall was charged and plea bargained a $5,000 fine and was placed on one year's probation. To this day, MacDougall still owns and operates MacDougall Electronics, a satellite dish dealership, in Ocala, Florida.
