Being gay isn't genetic. Babies aren't born with any sexuality. They're babies. It develops.
>If homosexuality is genetic, then men who inherit that gene would most likely not have any offspring, meaning they would eventually disappear.
Derp. Apparently OP doesn't know how genetics works. It's not as if everyone who gets a gene is going to exhibit the traits that come with said gene. That's how recessive genes get passed down, after all.
Disclaimer: I'm not saying being gay is genetic.
Yes, it could be a recessive trait. The reason I worded it like that is precisely because the holistic cause for it isn't known yet. It stands to reason that unless the gay gene is very recessive, it would slowly disappear, as it is an evolutionary disadvantage by itself (on an individual basis)
Your source page, paragraph six:
"New generations of implants are less susceptible to static and typically don't need to be re-implanted after getting zapped. But playground slides and other sources of heavy static (like balloons) can still zap an implant and require it to be reprogrammed, which costs up to $1,000. The child, meanwhile, must go hours or days without being able to hear."
re-PROGRAMMED, not re-implanted. I have a cochlear implant, and have always been told that if static wipes the processor's memory, it takes about ten minutes to reload the MAPs from the technician's computer. The wait of several days is to get an appointment to do so, as centers for CI's are most often few and far between.
I think i have just lost hope in humanity. Being gay, lesbian, bisexual, or any others is a choice you make on who you love. Your mom having more children has no impact on that and therefore this fact is quite stupid. Not every non-straight child has siblings.
