TV and radio commercials were louder than the shows and congress passed a law to change it!

No, it isn't just you. Ads are notorious for being much louder than the actual shows on TV. In 2010 congress passed a law regulating the Federal Communication Commission and volume control. The CALM Act, or the Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act, says that the FCC will have to make stations obey certain international volume standards. In 1914, German and Allied forces came out of the trenches and celebrated Christmas together!

Four months after WWI began, Christmas came. In the south of Ypres Salient the Allied forces and Germans set their fighting aside and met in No Man’s Land to celebrate Christmas. The trenches were only a few hundred feet from each other and the soldiers could yell across to the other side.

They all decided to cease fire and fighting for one night and then returned the next day.

Citizens of Monaco are forbidden to enter the gaming rooms at the casino.

They check passports at the door to ensure it. The Monte Carlo Casino is extremely famous and located in Monaco. The James Bond film ‘Casino Royale’ was set there. The casino hosted the European Poker Tour grand finals for seven seasons.

The casino is owned mostly by the Monaco government and was opened to keep the House of Grimaldi from bankruptcy. I was there once when I was 16 and got turned away. It was a sad day.

Everybody but one resident of this Spanish town won the biggest lottery in Spain

The most famous lottery in Spain, called "El Gordo," has been a staple for the last 200 years. Last year, the residents of the small Spanish town of Sodeto gathered up their money to buy lottery tickets. 

Everybody but one man, that is. Now he's kicking himself, because the town hit it big and won over $950 million! Everybody but him is going home with at least $130,000. The only silver lining behind it is that a neighbor bought a piece of land he'd been trying to sell.

There's a medical condition that makes women pass feces through their vagina

It's called a Rectovaginal fistula. It's an abnormal connection between the rectum and the vagina. 

If the connection becomes wide enough, it can cause feces and flatulence to escape through the vagina. The main causes for it can happen because of birth complications with inadequate healthcare.

They can also be a symptom of diseases like certain infections or a result of a botched surgery.
