Americans officially hate hipsters.

Public Policy Polling has built a reputation for being a pretty reliable pollster. However, they also have some fun when they do some polls by adding in funny, quirky and strange poll questions just to see what people respond.

A new survey by them found that only 16% of Americans have a favorable opinion of hipsters, while 42% of people view them unfavorably. However the study doesn't define what a hipster is, so people were responding on their own ideas of what a hipster is.

Republicans, the found, have a 9% favorable opinion of hipsters, half of the Democrats favorability percentage. If the study itself wasn't funny enough, here's another question that PPP threw in: 25% of people said they would support a special tax on hipsters for being annoying.

51% of US coupled-adults cheat on their partners... on Netflix!

A recent survey found that over half of US adults in committed relationships commit what they're humorously calling 'Netflix adultery' on their significant others. Netflix Adultery is when you secretly watch a video on Netflix that you're supposed to be watching together with your partner.

Netflix itself ran the survey, and they found some interesting stuff. Only 12% of people surveyed admitted to doing so, while 10% reported being cheated on. 22% of those who cheated admitted to watching the 'forbidden' videos in bed while their partner was asleep next to them.

Navy Dolphins recently found a 130-year-old torpedo!

Yes, the Navy has trained dolphins that aid the military branch in underwater exploration. In this case, the dolphins found a piece of history off the coast of San Diego.

Built about 130 years ago, the type of torpedo they found is called a Howell and it's one of the first torpedoes built that can propel itself. Only 50 of the 11-foot-long devices were made, and only two remain in existence.

The torpedo is now being cleaned and being made ready for it to be displayed at the Naval History and Heritage Command in Washington.

The original pronunciation of Shakespeare’s work reveals hidden messages!

The Globe Theater specializes in performing Shakespearian plays in their original pronunciation (OP). Although they opened in 1994, it took a while for them to mount these plays because they thought people wouldn't understand 400-year-old accents. However, after they performed Romeo and Juliet in OP, they became quite popular and they haven't looked back.

How did they revive a 400-year-old English accent? First, they looked at contemporary writing. Reviews and other writings about Shakespeare's plays would comment and make observations on how certain words rhymed and played together. The second is through spelling. Finally, there are rhymes and puns that don't work in our modern English, but do in Old English. The pronunciation itself reveals jokes and messages that are hidden to us now! An Indian tradition has mothers throwing their babies from 50-feet high!

Every year, in Sholapur, India, moms from around the region come to fulfill a tradition that is supposed to secure good luck to their children: Dropping them from a 50-foot-tall building.
