The Incredible Hulk was originally gray, not green.

Stan Lee’s initial vision for the monstrous hero was tinted a politically correct shade of gray because he did not want to allow room for any misguided inferences about the ethnicity of the beastly superhuman. However, the printing press had difficulty getting the gray tone to print properly, so Lee changed his skin color to the green we have all come to know and love. Over the years, the Hulk has appeared in many different shades of green, as a bizarre Russian red version, and has even reverted back to his original grayish hue! No matter the color, you definitely don’t want to be the reason that this brute is ‘seeing red’, because you won’t like him when he’s angry.

Disney trademarked the name of the military team that executed Osama bin Laden!

Analyzing the government’s trademark database, it appears that Disney is attempting to cash in on the assassination of the notorious terrorist leader. Records show that the company trademarked the name “Seal Team 6” just two days after bin Laden was killed! The trademarks appear to apply to merchandise, so it is doubtful the company intends to put out a movie about the incident or anything. My money’s on a Saturday morning cartoon with corresponding action figures - “Seal Team 6”...an elite squad of anthropomorphic seals who infiltrate foreign countries and take out terrorists, all while balancing balls on their noses! I can see it now...

Three men ran all the way across the Sahara desert in 111 days, covering over 4,300 miles!

Charlie Engle, Ray Zahab from Canada, and Kevin Lin from Taiwan began their run in November of 2006 at the coastal town of Saint-Louis, Senegal and by November 2007 they had ran all the way to the Pyramids at Giza in Egypt. The trio had to run through 6 countries: Senegal, Niger, Mauritania, Mali, Libya, and Egypt. These three marathon runners were doing this to support H2O Africa, an organization that is addressing the water crisis in Africa. The film Running the Sahara not only documents a momentous athletic feat, but also provides a look into every day life in northern Africa and calls attention to the lack of adequate drinking water. You can learn more about the film and this important issue on their website.
