A Nigerian Scammer was tricked into transcribing an entire Harry Potter Book!

By now everyone on the Internet has received an e-mail from someone claiming to be a deposed Nigerian Prince who needs help getting a fortune out of the country. You'd have to be pretty gullible to fall for it, right? Actually, a lot of people have fallen prey to these scammers. In response, the website 419eater.com was created in order to scam the scammers! They usually get the scammers to do ridiculous things, and this is one of the funniest ones we've seen. 

This particular user convinced the Nigerian "prince" that he needed his handwriting for a research project and got him to transcribe "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" in its entirety! The scammer transcribed AND scanned the entire manuscript, and it's up for all the world to see at the website. Check out a sample image on the right, and you can see all the novel at the link!

Hercules is technically Ariel’s cousin!

According to Greek mythology, Ariel’s father, King Triton, is the son of Poseidon, which would make the sea god Ariel’s grandfather. Poseidon’s brother Zeus is the father of Hercules, so Herc and Triton are first cousins. The child of your first cousin is your first cousin once removed, therefore Hercules and Ariel are first cousins once removed.

Hercules and Triton’s cousinly relationship is confirmed in (this episode of the Hercules cartoon series) - keep an open mind though, Triton looks NOTHING like he does in The Little Mermaid.

Steve Jobs was adopted. His biological father was from Syria.

This means that the late Apple CEO was half-Arab. His father, Abdulfattah “John” Jandali, moved to the United States in the 1950s to go to college. There, he met and started dating Joanne Carole Sciebele, Jobs’ mother. Schiebele’s father didn’t approve of Jandali, so the couple put their baby boy, Steve Jobs, up for adoption. The young couple agreed to give their son the Jobs family under the condition that they promise to give him a university education.

Steve Jobs isn’t the only successful child that Jandali and Schiebele had together. Their daughter, Jobs’ sister, Mona Simpson, is a famous author.
