How did Soviet Union pilot T. Kuznetsov fly home after a crash? By stealing another plane!

In 1942, Kuznetsov survived a crash landing after an informational mission to spy on another military base. After crashing, Kuznetsov escaped his plane’s wreckage and hid.

Luckily, a German soldier landed his plane right by where Kuznetsov was hiding, looking for something. When the moment was right, the Soviet pilot stole the German pilot’s plane and flew home!

Ironically, Kuznetsov was nearly shot down and killed by his own country, thinking he was German!

Horses can't puke!

If a human eats something that does not settle well with our stomachs, the body reacts and throws up. Horses cannot due to the angle of the esophagus as well as the muscle that connects the esophagus and stomach which acts as a one-way valve.

For example, if you overeat, your stomach becomes upset and you throw up. If a horse overeats, it's more likely that the stomach will rupture from the excess of food!

The Toast was invented as a safety measure!

In the ancient Greek times, poison was a very popular murder weapon. So of course, you had to be wary of whatever you were being served when you drank with someone. So how do you reassure your guests that you're giving them a cup of wine and that you're not trying to murder them?

You pour everyone's drinks from the same source. Then, if that's not enough, you clank your cups together so that the liquid spills into each other's cups. This means that if I tried to poison you, then some of the poison also went into my own cup.

This gesture would let people know that there was nothing to worry about and that they were amongst friends. Unless of course, someone had a little bit of antidote handy.

A one-year-old boy in India has broken a world record after being born with 34 fingers and toes!

Akshat Saxena had seven fingers on each hand and ten toes on each foot, according to a spokesman for Guinness World Records. This beats the previous record of a Chinese boy born with 31 fingers and toes.

The condition is known as polydactyly and is a rare genetic condition that makes unborn babies grow extra fingers and toes, usually on the little finger side of the hand. The parents were shocked, but did not know that their baby was so unusual. A family friend finally convinced them to go on the internet and enter the data. That's when they found that their kid had broken the world record.

The boy went into surgery and after 16 hours, he now only has 10 fingers and 10 toes.

Writing Xmas did not originate as a secular attack on Christmas!

It's a very popular misconception that when people abbreviate Christmas as "Xmas" they're going along an attack plan to get 'Christ out of Christmas.'

In reality, the usage of Xmas can be traced all the way back to 1021. X stands for the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the word Christ in Greek.

When monks in Great Britain translated ancient texts into Old English as far back as the year 1021, they would write X instead of Christ. The first recorded usage of Xmas dates all the way back to 1551.
