In 25 years there has only been ONE sequel to the original Legend of Zelda!

That is, to the original NES game from 1987. after the original was a huge hit, the sequel "Zelda II: The Adventure of Link" was released shortly after.

Since then, every Legend of Zelda game has been a prequel to the original NES game! The Super NES game A Link to the Past was a prequel to the NES game, and the critically acclaimed Ocarina of Time was a prequel to the SNES game.

The actual timeline of the Legend of Zelda is a heated internet debate and where each game is placed in the timeline is nearly impossible to determine. It is said that there is a secret Nintendo document that shows how each game fits in an overarching story, but they have chosen not to release it because they don't want to lose flexibility for future games.

If you have a few hours to spare, just google "Zelda Timeline" and see for yourself. This goes to a graphic showing one of the least controversial timelines around.

Dexter has been linked to 3 real life crimes!

Dexter is an interesting anti-hero. He's sort of the Robin Hood of murder, killing guilty people that he deems are doing harm to society. This sense of justice and his vigilante methods make for good television, but they have also inspired real life murders!

The three murderers all seem to have an admiration or they identify with Dexter. One of them even started leading a double life, complete with a Facebook profile. Another one, when asked why he did it, said: "I have no regrets, these people are plighting our society, if we don't do anything about it, who will?"

It's very likely that these people would have found a different trigger for their murders even if Dexter didn't exist. What do you think? Do shows like Dexter influence people to do these horrible things, or have no influence at all?

The safest UPS driver travelled 3 million miles without an accident!

It only took him 45 years to reach the milestone, but in 2007, Ronald Sowder eclipsed the 3 million mile mark without a single accident. To put that into perspective, that's enough distance to make 6 trips to and from the moon!

UPS provides another, more down-to-earth comparison: he's driven the equivalent of more than 120 trips around the equator. According to UPS only one other driver has come close to Sowder's mark in the 100-year history of the company.

The movie Lord of War used 3000 real AK-47s because they were cheaper than props!

The Nicholas Cage movie is about how a man becomes an arms dealer. This makes it appropriate that the director of the film was involved in a little arms dealing to make the movie.

Because of his small budget, he decided he couldn't afford to make 3,000 prop guns to shoot his film. So he went to the Czech Republic and bought 3000 Kalashnikov automatic rifles for filming. Not only that, at the end of the shoot, he sold them for a loss. He meant to destroy them but couldn't afford to either.
