Popcorn in movie theaters has chemicals that cover the building with its smell

This method makes people crave popcorn by making its scent irresistible! But have you ever wondered why concessions are so expensive? During the first two months in theaters, movie studios take all of the profits from ticket sales.

While corn is one of the world’s most popular vegetables, the smallest percentage is actually used for eating purely off of the cob, popped, etc.!

It can also be used as an alternative fuel source for cars. That use has been the focus of recent discussion because there have been subsidies for corn-based fuels which have driven up the price of corn for other uses.

The documentary King Corn examines the extreme role that corn plays in our lives and how, like mentioned above, corn goes in many places you wouldn’t imagine!
