People live in the Mos Eisley set from Star Wars!

In the Star Wars film, “The Phantom Menace,” Anakin Skywalker and his mother come from a desert settlement. The movie features shots of domed sand structures making up the village. The footage was shot in Tunisia, and the structures were actually built, they weren't miniatures or special effects.

It turns out that people have actually moved into these structures and are living there. In video footage you can see people’s things piled inside the sand houses and even pets roaming around. In one, a desert fox can be seen in a cage. In another, a seemingly domesticated bird of prey watches over a pile of clothes.

No actual residents appear in the video footage, but the settlement does appear inhabited. Wonder if they’re Star Wars fans?

Mannequins are being equipped with cameras to study shopping habits!

Sounds like something out of Minority Report or 1984, but it's true. An Italian company called Almax SpA is selling a new type of mannequin called the EyeSee. It costs about $5000.

The EyeSee looks ordinary on the outside. However, inside one of it's eyes, there is a camera and software that can detect your age, gender and race. The data is being used to change store displays and sales.

The EyeSee is making retailers change their strategies. For example, using data from the EyeSee, a store realized that men who shopped in the first two days of a sale spent more than women. As a result, they've changed their displays to better suit men in the first days of a sale.

What do you think? Clever marketing idea or creepy invasion of privacy? Let us know in the comments.

In the prehistoric times, there was a flightless bird that ate horses!

We may laugh at the flightlessness of birds like ostriches and penguins nowadays but you did not want to mess with their oldest ancestor, Phosurhacida. Aka: The Terror Bird. It was the largest species of predators in South America between 62 million to 2 million years ago.

They were roughly 3 to 10 feet tall and munched on small mammals. They used their massive beaks to either pick up prey and slam them into the ground or inflict precision strikes on critical body parts. Archeologists say that this species left the world at about the same time we got here.

There's a ladder on the side of a Jerusalem temple that has remained there since the 18th century!

It's known as the immovable ladder because it is understood that no cleric of the six ecumenical Christian order may move, rearrange or alter it without the consent of all six orders. The ladder is made of cedar wood and it was first mentioned in 1757; it has remained on the side of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher since at least then.

The ladder has some symbolism. Pope Paul VI ordered in 1964 that the ladder will remain in place until the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church reach a state of ecumenism, That is, when both churches reunite as one.

Despite the moniker, though, the ladder has been moved a couple of times. Once in 1997, it went missing for weeks and it was thought that it was moved on a prank. In 2009 it was moved to the side against another window for a short period of time.

JFK's brain wasn't buried with his body!

John F. Kennedy was unfortunately assassinated while doing a tour of America. The famous question 'who REALLY killed Kennedy' has sparked controversy ever since the incident occurred back in the 1960's.

Sometimes, conspiracy theorists often make interesting observations and are able to make connections between JFK's assassination and corruption in the American government that could make one believe the conspiracy theories.

This should make conspiracy theorists a little excited: JFK's brain wasn't buried with his body. In fact, JFK's brain is missing from National Archives. Nobody knows what happened to JFK's brain, which has led theorists to believe that the brain showed remarkable evidence that would be contrary to the official government report.
