Beards keep you healthy!

A study from the University of Southern Queensland published a study in which they found that beards block 90 to 95% of UV rays. Beards slow down the aging process and reduce the risk of skin cancer.

Not just that, they found that beards also reduce the number of pollens and dust that cause asthma attacks. Beards also protect your face from the wind, keeping you looking young.

Other studies have also shown that women are more attracted to men with beards than without. Although those claims might not be 100% scientifically proven, it seems like there's a pretty good case for all you guys out there to grow out that facial hair.

If you saw Iron Man 3, Marvel trolled you!

By now everyone knows that Marvel movies always have a scene after the credits right? Last year's The Avengers had a post-credits scene that sent shawarma sales skyrocketing. This year, they decided to have a little fun with it.

The end credits for Iron Man 3 ran a little longer than usual. The credits ran for a full 10 minutes, longer than average. If you think that's because they had a lot of people to list, you're not 100% true. They also padded them with some fake names like Gwyneth Waltrow.

Another interesting thing about Iron Man 3 is that the movie has an extra scene in the Chinese market. In the scene, which is right at the beginning of the movie, Tony Stark is shown blowing off the same doctor that would later save him in the first Iron Man movie.

All polar bears are Irish!

Scientists have discovered that all polar bears can trace their genetic lineage to a single brown bear who lived in Ireland about 20,000 to 50,000 years ago. Back then, climate change in the North Atlantic ice sheets meant that ancient polar bears and Irish brown bears overlapped in their territory.

It appears that ancient polar bears and Irish brown bears interbred in Ireland, which led to a single lineage of polar bears from this hybridization. Irish brown bears died over 9,000 years ago, but their polar offspring remained.

When contestants leave Hell's Kitchen, they're sent to a psychiatrist to make sure they don't have suicidal thoughts!

It seems like Hell’s Kitchen lives up to it's name both on and off screen. Contestants on Gordon Ramsay’s show live such tough lives during the a season’s shooting that they are sent for a psychiatric evaluation after the show is done.

They’re also sent to a ‘beautiful house’ that is basically a spa: You get back rubs, eat and get pampered. Some contestants call it decompression before you go back into society. The show can be so stressful that Gordon Ramsey even has bodyguards on set to prevent incidents.

Among the things contestants are required to do is disconnect from the outside world. Computers, personal electronics, phones or even newspapers are not allowed while the show is being filmed. The show isn’t filmed in an actual restaurant, but rather a set where every single corner of the dining area and the kitchen is being filmed.

Freddie Mercury had parties where midgets balanced cocaine trays on their heads!

Freddie Mercury, despite all of his glory and talent, was a bit of an oddball. Since reaching a high level of fame, Mercury developed a love for partying, and indulging in massive amounts of cocaine every time he went out for a night on the town.

On one of Mercury's 39th birthday, it is said that he hired little people to carry around trays with MOUNTAINS of cocaine on them for everyone to partake in. There were also a display of thieves, ogres, transsexuals, ballerinas, and even trolls!

One of the guests that attended the party said "It was wretched excess that I'll probably go to hell for." The party has gone down as one of the most expensive birthday parties ever thrown, in the history of rock'n'roll.
