It’s hypothesized that the western half of the Cumbre Vieja could experience a landslide and disappear into the Atlantic Ocean. It’s believed that this event would cause a mega-tsunami.
The landslide would cause a debris flow at the bottom of the ocean and travel at over 600mph. Within 10 hours the tsunami will cross Africa, Europe, and up to 16 miles inland of North America. There are already some debris flows in the ocean from the Canary Islands. Some question that the situation will cause a mega-tsunami. Those who think this threat is exaggerated, think that the slide will be so gradual, that no tsunamis will be formed, unless it happens suddenly.

Tijuana Bibles were underground pornographic comics made between the 20s and 60s. Their popularity was at its height during the Great Depression. Between 1920 and 1960 there were between 700-1000 original stories circulated.
The comics were wallet size, had 8 panels, and were 8 pages long. The authors and artists were unknown and they weren’t all the same. They depicted various popular figures of the time without permission and used ethnic stereotypes greatly. They were distributed in garages, schools, barber shops, and other local places.
