You are legally entitled to $500 every time a telemarketer calls you after you tell them to stop!

Suing companies is normally a major headache and pretty expensive. However, you can easily sue telemarketing companies through your local small claims court. It is even possible to file the claim online. 

First, you have to tell them you want on their Do Not Call list and tell them to send you a copy of the list. They can call you once more after that as an “oops” call. If you never receive the DNC list, then you can sue, even if they never call again. However, after the one “oops” call, you can sue them for every additional call for $500 each time. 

It is important to make a call log of the phone calls. It is smart to be polite and make sure you get their name, number, and company information. Then tell them you are exercising your rights and ask for the DNC list and to be placed on it. 

Once you’ve filed, make sure you are prepared for court. Small claims court is usually overloaded, so it is key to be prepared, clear, and to the point with the judge.

Ever wondered how much money is actually in a ton?

The expression, “a ton of money” is constantly thrown around, but did you ever wonder just how much money it would take in bills to actually weigh a ton? Because no one would actually withdrawal a million dollars and weigh it, math comes into the equation. 

If a single dollar bill is weighed, it roughly comes out to a gram. Ten dollar bills equal 9.83 grams, so a million dollar bills would roughly weigh a thousand kilograms, or one metric ton. However, some more math is necessary. 

A kilogram is around 2.2 pounds, so 1000 kilograms would result in just over 2200 pounds, which results in around a ton. So this means if you say I have a ton of money, you literally have a million dollars!

Animals have always been there to help us extend our messages across great distances. From messenger pigeons to the pony express; animals have delivered letters between lovers, parents and children, etc. 

In our modern time however, we’ve replaced many of these animals with mechanical vehicles, and most of those letters with e-mail. But, a few mules and delivery men still embark on six-to eight hour journeys through the Grand Canyon five days a week to deliver mail and other supplies to residents of Supai and Phantom Town, Arizona.

Both are relatively small towns located in mountainous regions. Supai for example, only has one small, air-conditioned lodge, one convenience store, and one café serving fast food. However, this has made both towns popular tourist destinations; allowing people to experience small town America with all its natural wonders and mule mail.

In 1953, it took 27 hours to make one Marshmallow Peep.

Peeps are marshmallow candies produced by Just Born known mostly as chick or bunny shapes sold around Easter. More than 1 billion of them are made every year. 

In 1953, Just Born acquired the Rodda Candy Company which had hand produced Peeps (though they had a different name at the time). Before being purchased by Just Born, the Rodda Candy Company made each Peep in a painstaking hand-forming process, which took 27 hours for each one. 

The Peeps, in chick form only back then, were squeezed out of a tube one at a time and the eyes were hand painted on. Once the company’s ownership changed, however, the production of Peeps was greatly sped up by way of a mass production line. 

The time it takes to create them has decreased as technology has improved, and today it takes around six minutes to create a Peep- of course they aren’t made one by one. The machines used to create them make 3,500 every minute.

For an extra $1000, your family and friends can sadly watch the display from a yacht. People go to great lengths to ensure that their bodies decompose in the optimal setting. 

Donald Trump for example, is considering adding a 1.5 acre cemetery next to his Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey. Members would have the option of being buried at the course in their membership fee of $150,000. Would you call this post-mortem vanity or rather "going out with a bang."
