Bill Gates has donated more to charity than what number eight on the Forbes Rich List is worth.

The Forbes Rich List is pretty self explanatory. It’s a list of the richest people in the world. Bill Gates sits at number two on the list. Carlos Slim, a Mexican business magnate, sits at number one. While Gates is worth 61 billion dollars, Slim is worth 69 billion.

Slim has been the richest person in the world since 2010. He has extensive holdings in numerous Mexican companies in areas like communication, technology, retail, and finance. However the reason he's beaten out Gates is mainly because Gates has given away so much of his fortune to charity.

Gates you probably know a bit better as the big brain behind Microsoft. From 1995 to 2007, he was ranked the wealthiest person in the world. He is best known for his work in entrepreneurship in the personal computer revolution, as well as his philanthropy. Gates established his own foundation in 2000, and has donated 28 billion dollars to charity- that’s 2 billion dollars more than what Stefan Persson, the 8th richest person in the world, is worth.

There is a "heavy equipment playground" in Las Vegas where you can drive bulldozers for FUN!

So, if you’ve outgrown the sandbox but not your inner-child, then this is the place for you! “Dig It” is for everyone aged 14 to 114 who’s willing to spend at least 90 minutes scooping up massive piles of dirt and other doing other bulldozer/excavator involving activities.

It’s a 7 step experience:

  1. You choose either a bulldozer or excavator: With a bulldozer, you can build huge mounds and push gigantic tires. With an excavator, you can dig trenches and stack 2000 pound tires. Oh, dilemma, dilemma.
  2. You undergo the breathalyzer and a safety orientation: Always a good thing to do before you get into a massive, dirt-destroying machine.
  3. You undergo an in-cab orientation: An instructor shows you the working of each little button and leaver so that you can move your machine with grace and poise.
  4. You do a warm-up exercise: You move your large mechanical friend around the yard, under the watchful eyes of the crew.
  5. You do some guided activities: And now you get to the real stuff. Guided by the staff, you can play a game of “Excavator Basketball” or build and ride your own “Bulldozer Teeter-Totter.”
  6. FREE TIME! It’s like recess; you have ultimate freedom to do whatever the Dig-It rule book and the state law doesn’t prohibit.
  7. You accept your award. Graciously claim your official Certificate of Completion. This is probably the only place where you get an award for having fun. And there you have it!

So on your next trip to Vegas, instead of blowing all of your life savings or drowning your miseries in alcohol, you can satisfy that little part of you that’s always dreamt of being a construction worker. Dig up more some info from the source

A steel plant in Detroit is bothering Canadians with a loud humming noise. Americans claim no one on the US side can hear it!

Two years ago, U.S. Steel reopened a mill on a man-made island in the Detroit River, Zug Island. Since then, residents of Windsor, Ontario say they’ve heard an ever increasingly loud noise. It is actually two noises, though. One is a deep hum, like the sound of a diesel engine idling, and the other is really a low vibration that you can feel more than hear.

Staff of Canada’s Foreign Ministry has sought to fix the problem and meet with U.S. Officials, but everyone keeps passing the buck to someone else and nothing is getting done. The steel mill won’t comment on the issue. The interesting thing is that American officials say that Americans don’t hear the noise at all. So, it makes it hard for them to take it seriously, since it isn’t affecting them.

That isn’t really true, though, because residents of nearby towns on the American side say the noise is so bad that it shakes their homes and keeps them up at night. Residents in Windsor say that it is so bad, that kids don’t even want to play outside anymore.

Apple makes their employees work on fake projects until they can be trusted!

Apple takes serious pride in its work, and in its privacy. A book written by Adam Lashinsky examined the intensity of Apple’s work environment. Apple sometimes makes fake projects for their employees to work on. If the project leaks, then they know who did it and they are fired immediately.

Once they are proven trustworthy, they’re brought in to work on real projects. The interviewing process alone can take nine months, and then each engineer is still given fake projects to work on for an indefinite period of time. These aren’t just new engineers, though. It has been said that senior engineers are also given fake projects. Simply put, Apple doesn’t trust people.

You could have a baby before even getting a job at Apple. Lashinsky says that if you want to work for Apple, it’s best to check your own ego at the door, because you’ll have to embrace Apple’s egomania times 1,000,000.

A man in India has opened a store called HITLER, complete with a swastika logo!

An Indian storeowner is getting some heat from his new clothing store, called Hitler. He even thought it'd be cheeky if the dot in the I had a little swastika symbol. The store sells men's clothing, and has created quite a stir in the community due to the strange choice of name and marketing.

The owner claims that he had no idea that Hitler was a monster. He said before this whole thing had happened, he thought Hitler was just a 'very strict man,' and that it was a nickname given to the grandfather of his business partner. He learned the truth, he said, when he googled Hitler's name.

If that sounds a little like BS, it's because it probably is. A Jewish shopper said in an interview, " The proprietors knew what the name meant and what Hitler stood for. They had researched well, right from the dress the dictator wore to his cufflinks."

Members of the local synagogue tried to get him to change the branding and name, but he said that he's spent $2700 on marketing, and the only way he'd reconsider is if someone paid him enough to make up that money.
