Your brain stays active after decapitation!

However, despite the myth, you are not conscious. The tradition is to call the beheaded's name after they lost their head. However, scientists in the 1700s noticed that the heads would respond by blinking and opening their eyes! However, the effect only lasts for 2-3 seconds. On July 17, 1793, Charlotte Corday was decapitated for murdering popular journalist Jean-Paul Marat.

The interesting part about this is that after her head fell, one of the executioners picked up the head and slapped her cheek. Corday's eyes darted to the executioner's face in anger. Some report that blinking after death can occur for up to 30 seconds after beheading!

However, this is not your brain still being conscious. Brain scientists believe that there is still enough brain activity for involuntary reflexes to create this kind of phenomenons. To read more on decapitation and more brain myths explained, check the source

There is a caffeinated bar of soap that has the effect of one cup of coffee!

It is called Shower Shock. It's concentration of caffeine is so strong that it is the equivalent of drinking 1 cup of coffee per shower. This is because the caffeine is absorbed through your skin.

One bar of this soap contains approximately 12 servings/showers per 4 ounce bar with 200 milligrams of caffeine per serving. The price per bar is $6.99 and they promise that showering will give you a “jolt” of energy. So, if you don’t have time for coffee, but still want the effect, this is your solution. Would this change the definition of the phrase “We should go grab a coffee sometime”?

More facts about mustard:

• Cooking food with mustard dramatically decreases the condiment’s pungency.

• Yellow mustard (a.k.a. regular mustard) is the most commonly used mustard in the U.S. The rest of the world calls it American mustard. It is a very mild mustard colored bright yellow due to the use of turmeric. It was introduced over 100 years ago in 1904 by George T. French who bet that Americans would prefer milder tasting mustard than what was available at the time.

• French’s website aggressively encourages people to opt for mustard as the condiment of choice because mayonnaise is full of fat, and ketchup is full of sugar.
