High school football is a big deal in the United States. However, it’s a bigger deal in Texas than in most other states. There are high schools with facilities that rival many colleges in how big, expensive and luxurious they are.
Perhaps there is no best example of this than the Allen Eagle Stadium. The stadium holds 18,000 fans and cost $60 million to build. The architectures say that it’s something unheard of in High School athletics.
Even though the school will only play 6 home games in the stadium, it's promoters say that students will use the facilities every day, including a posh weight room. The facilities are so impressive that college recruiters take photos to take back to their own schools.
