The nude sketch of Kate Winslet in the film Titanic was drawn by the film's director, James Cameron.

Cameron actually drew all of the pictures in Jack's sketchbook! The hands that were filmed sketching Winslet's naked form do not belong to Leonardo DiCaprio; they are Cameron's. However, James Cameron is left-handed and DiCaprio is not, so in post-production these shots had to be mirror-imaged!

...and once again, we're borrowing a picture from the "Stormtroopers 365" series.

Christopher Columbus did not believe the world was flat.

In fact, nearly no educated person has held this belief since the time of the ancient Greeks! The idea of a spherical Earth first appeared around the 6th century B.C. with the Greek mathematician Pythagoras and continued to permeate Greek and Roman culture, even after the advent of Christianity. The thought that Columbus held such a fallacy did not emerge until the 1830's, when a Frenchman named Antoine-Jean Letronne and the well-known American author Washington Irving separately composed works of historical fiction which misrepresented Columbus. This myth eventually made its way into schoolbooks and is still often taught to this day! The lie is believed to have been promoted as a way of heightening the religion/science debate and giving ammunition to Darwinism over creationism.

President George H.W. Bush once vomited on the lap of the Japanese prime minister.

In January of 1992, President Bush was in Japan at a state dinner held at the home of Kiichi Miyazawa. Bush had not been feeling well prior to the event, and reportedly had been told by his doctors not to attend. Never one to refuse hospitality, Bush decided to soldier on through his flu, and expressed his gratitude to the prime minister from the bottom of his...stomach.

The illness caused quite a scene - it's not too often that you see a president go completely pale and topple over onto a foreign diplomat:
