Vince Vaughn and Steve Buscemi are known for making movies that can be a bit high on the violence scale, but they weren’t acting back in 1998 during a bar brawl that got pretty ugly. Vince and Steve were busy filming their movie “Domestic Disturbance” in North Carolina when they decided to get some liquid refreshment at a local bar.

In the 1970’s Fishburne began acting and when the legendary war epic Apocalypse Now was casting, he immediately wanted a role. At the age of fourteen he auditioned, yet knew that they would never hire such a young actor for a war movie.

Instead he said that he was 17, which was the age of the character he was hoping to play and was cast in the movie! Producers found out, yet kept him anyway and strangely the filming took so long he was actually 17 by the release of the movie!

The Little Mermaid’s body and personality were based on Alyssa Milano!

The Little Mermaid is a beloved Disney film. It tells the story of a young mermaid who longs to join the human world. With the aid of sea witch, Ursula, she grows legs and joins people above the water.

Ariel must gain the love of a prince in order to stay there.

Despite the efforts of the evil Ursula, Ariel (Spoiler Alert) falls in love with the prince, marries him and remains on land. They live happily ever after.

So how exactly did Disney animators go about creating this movie and its many characters? They used a number of different inspirations. For example, Ursula was based on a drag performer.

Ariel's body and personality were actually based on actress Alyssa Milano who was, at the time, starring in the TV series "Who's the Boss?" The effect of her hair underwater was based on footage of astronaut Sally Ride when she was in space.

Tony Danza became a high school teacher for a reality show!

Teach: Tony Danza was a reality show about Tony Danza becoming a tenth grade English teacher at Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the 2009-2010 school year.

Filming predominately took place during the first semester. In the first episode, Danza arrives at the school, where he meets most of the faculty and his diverse class of students.

He learns that teaching is a little bit harder than he thought when one of the students questions his qualification, and in order to bond with his students, he becomes the assistant coach.

As delightful as this sounds to watch, the production team thought that the footage was not dramatic enough.

They wanted to try to generate drama among his students but Danza refused, and the show was halted. Really makes you question just how real, reality TV shows are.
