There is a temple for all religions

Also known as the temple of the universe, it is a work in progress that eventually hopes to encompass all religions in the world. It’s located in Staroye Arakchino, and it incorporates many recognizable forms of religious architecture.

The construction of the temple began in 1992 by local artist Ildar Khanov, and it currently serves as a cultural center in Russia. The structure is not a place of worship, but rather a “temple of culture and truth”. Khanov believes that eventually the temple will have 16 domes, representing 16 of the world religions.

It’s illegal to serve margarine instead of butter in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin, which is known for its dairy products like butter, actually banned the sale or use of margarine colored to look like butter back in 1895. The law wasn’t repealed until 1967 after a Wisconsin State Senator and butter enthusiast underwent a blind taste test and discovered that margarine tasted better.

From 1967 until now, it’s still been illegal to serve margarine as a replacement for butter in diners. Breaking this law is punishable by up to 3 months in jail, though that’s never been enforced. The law also requires that butter be served in Wisconsin’s schools and at state institutions, including prisons.

Denmark has instituted a 'fat tax' on unhealthy foods in an effort to curb obesity!

In an unprecedented move, the Danish government has implemented a surcharge of 16 kroner per kilogram (approximately $1.29/lb) of saturated fat in a product. Foods such as butter, milk, cheese, pizza, meat, oil, and processed food will all be subject to the charge. The goal is to dissuade citizens from consuming unhealthy foods, but the tax has already had the side effect of causing people to stock up on these goods prior to its implemention! Many scientists also question whether a salt or sugar tax would be a more effective measure. If successful, the fat tax is expected to raise the average life expectancy of Danes by a total of three years over the next decade.
