Claw machines are rigged! Learn how

Have you ever felt as if the claw machine was rigged because you kept losing? Well, you may just be right. A report by Slate Magazine suggests that the claw machine game isn’t a game of skill, but rather luck! The report says that claw machines are programmed the same way slot machines are, and that you can only win only ever now and then!

The report suggests that claw machines are programmed to grab a toy on every tenth try, no matter how skilled you may claim to be at grabbing plush toys. This has lead to a discussion as to whether or not your childhood menace the claw machines are actually gambling!

The most expensive High School in the world costs $212,000 a year!

It’s called Institut Le Rosey, and is located near Rolle Switzerland. It’s been around since 1880 on the site of a 14^th-century Chateu du Rosey near the town of Rolle. It’s one of the oldest boarding schools in Switzerland and one of the most prestigious education institutions in the world. The school also has a SECOND campus in a ski resort village of Gstaad, where the student body moves during the winter months.

As of 2011/2012, the boarding and academic fees are CHF130,000, and with all other expenses, it costs CHF200,000 (or $212,000) and it’s considered the most exclusive boarding school in the world.

Although enrollment is only about 400 students, and has educated many dynastic families in Switzerland. The school has also educated many royalty from around the world, including Shahs from Persia and Princes from Monaco. People like Elizabeth Taylor, John Lennon, Diana Ross and Winston Churchill had kids there.

Cayenne pepper can stop bleeding!

This little spice isn't useful just for making your mouth feel like fire. It's long been hailed as a miracle working substance. In most circumstances, cayenne pepper can stop bleeding in less than a minute. When applied to a wound, cayenne pepper reacts with the body and equalizes blood pressure. Blood clots quickly when pressure is equalized.

It also has a lot of other uses: it can help bleeding internally too if you take a teaspoon of it. It's also said to improve blood circulation, assist in digestion, stimulate perspiration and saliva and help lessen pain from swollen joints and limbs.

South Africa once had car flamethrowers!

A South African inventor saw that there was a huge carjacking problem in his country and invented a product called the Blaster (or the BMW Flamethrower) in 1998. In that year, South Africa was the per capita murder, assault, rape and carjacking in the world.

The Blaster was a liquefied petroleum gas flamethrower installed under the side of the vehicles. If a group of carjackers decided to attack a car with the blaster, the driver could flip a switch and send a 5 meter plume of flame towards their attacker's face.

People criticized this because they thought that carjackers would just start murdering people before approaching the car; a practice that was already common before this. While some places report that the device was banned, it was actually just unprofitable, only a few hundred were sold.

There's a SPA in Japan where you can bathe in coffee, tea and wine!

Although you probably don't wanna drink any of them, a Japanese hotspring in Hakone, Japan lets you get into what is basically a giant cup of coffee, green tea or wine.

Since the park is mostly natural hotsprings, they have to brew the coffee and pour it in the pools. The spa also has a giant teapot and a giant wine bottle from where those liquids come from. Check out some more pics of this awesome place at the source.
