The original blue Power Ranger left the show due to harassment about his sexuality.

David Yost left the show at the end of the fourth season. He later revealed that his departure was because coworkers harassed him for being gay - he was often called a "faggot" and producers would frequently ask the other actors questions about his sexuality.

Yost played Billy Cranston (the Blue Ranger) and appeared in over 200 episodes of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers during the show's first four seasons! He was also the only Ranger to appear in every episode of the original series. During the fourth season, Power Rangers: Zeo he no longer appeared as a Ranger - instead, he was merely a technical advisor to the newer Rangers. Yost eventually left the show toward the end of the season.

Yost explains why he left in this interview.

The QWERTY arrangement of our keyboards was originally intended to make typing SLOWER.

Christopher Latham Sholes invented the first practical typewriter in 1873. These early models tended to have a slow type bar mechanism, so Sholes rearranged his keyboard from an alphabetized format to one in which the most common pairs of letters were spread far apart!

Since typing at this time resorted to the "hunt and peck" technique (as opposed to the 10-finger typing that we do now), this arrangement ensured that each type bar would be out of the way before a new keystroke was made, so that the machine wouldn't jam. Sholes never even dreamed that typing could ever be faster than writing by hand!

Blue from Blue's Clues is female.

The show's producers decided upon this because they wanted the animated pet to be the opposite sex of its live-action owner. Blue was initially supposed to be a kitten, but Nick Jr. was creating another television show at the time which starred a kitten.

And the name Blue? Well, that came simply because the live-action actor always had to be filmed in front of a BLUE screen! Check out this interview with the show's creators!

That guy in the pic is Steve Burns, Blue's friend from the original show. He's got a new job now.

The dictionary has been banned in some schools in southern California.

The ban results from a parental complaint about their child looking up the definition of "oral sex." Get the whole story here.
