Myth Busted: Men DO NOT think about sex every seven seconds

Society tells us that men should always be on the prowl for casual hookups, thinking about sex every seven seconds, but according to a recent study men don’t think about sex any more than food or sleep.

According to a recent study published in The Journal of Sex Research, men think about sex on average 18.6 times a day. Overall men are found to report a greater number of personal-need-based thoughts than women, including areas such as food 18 times a day, and sleep 11 times a day.

Lucy Liu claims to have had sex with a ghost.

In a US Weekly interview, Lucy Liu was not shy about her sex encounter with a ghost, or a heavenly figure. She said that it was sheer bliss, she felt everything and then he floated away. Apparently her description is not unlike what many other people report.

This could be a subset of what's called an incubus encounter, an often scary meeting with a creature that sits on your chest and looks scary. Really it's just something called sleep paralysis in which the paralysis effects of REM sleep intrude into a waking state, resulting in you not being able to move but are still awake.

Lucy Liu might have just experienced a similar incubus encounter, but instead of her being scared and paralyzed, she felt like she had sex with a ghost!

This Mexican woman is the only known person to have ever successfully performed a C-Section on herself

C-sections are used when natural childbirth is thought to be too risky. The woman is given anesthesia because of how enormous the C-section cut is and how painful it would be otherwise. Enter Ines Ramírez Perez: she is a peasant who lives in rural Mexico. With no medical training at all, she performed a C-section on herself and miraculously performed it successfully, keeping both her and her son alive.

In March of 2000, she had experienced 12 hours of continual pain. She then drank 3 small glasses of hard liquor and used a kitchen knife to open her abdomen. She made a 6.7in vertical incision to the right of her navel. For comparison, a standard C-section cut is 3.9 inches and horizontal below the navel.

She spent an hour operating herself and finally found her uterus. She took her baby boy out, cut the umbilical cord and passed out. She used clothes to bandage her uterus after regaining consciousness and sent for help. She needed some surgery because she damaged her intestines.

When asked why she did it, she said that she couldn't stand the pain and she decided if her baby was going to die, she was going to die too. However, she said she was certain God would save their lives.

Some awesome lists!

2 to 5 year-olds are more 6x more likely to know how to use a mouse than tie their own shoes!

It's a long running trend that kids today are much more exposed to technology than at any time before. You, for example, might still remember the first computer your family got as an eventful occasion, but your little brother was born with a computer in the house and it's as normal as having a toaster.

Research has shown that the average "digital birth" in western cultures is at 6-months-old. That means that the average baby has some sort of online presence (like baby photos on Facebook, for example) before their first words!

Today, 69 per cent of children aged two to five can use a computer mouse but only 11 per cent can tie their own shoelaces; and more young people know how to play a computer game (58 per cent) than swim (20 per cent) or ride a bike (52 per cent).

Some places in Europe have Drive-In sex boxes so you don't disturb the neighborhood.

Having sex in a car can be awkward if you get caught. To prevent this awkwardness, some European cities have created drive in "Sex Boxes." They're basically parking spaces that have walls covering up the car so you can go along your business without disturbing the neighbors.

The idea seems to have originated in Germany, but Zurich has recently proposed building them there too, so that prostitutes can work in a more discrete way. There are a lot of homes in Zurich that overlook the red light district. The police thinks they can't get rid of prostitution, but they can at least control it.
