The only American company that made Sodium thiopental, the drug used in lethal injections, stopped manufacturing it due to its use in executions!

The death penalty has been a hotly debated issue for almost all of America’s history, and while many countries have outlawed it completely, America has not and is now experiencing never before seen problems in deciding on the most “humane” way to kill people.

While the electric chair, and even being hanged, are legal in some states, most have switched to lethal injection, yet this also resulted in a problem. The drug used to lethally inject criminals was produced by the company Hospira, yet they have since refused to continue to produce it after learning that the government is using it to kill those on death row.

So what has America decided to do? Since the Hospira incident, a new drug has been developed that ensures the rapid and painless onset of anesthesia before using the drugs Midazolam and hydromorphone to cause the heart to cease beating.
