There’s a Playboy for the blind.

Yes, some people really do just read the magazine for the articles. The Library of Congress keeps braille copies of Playboy (no pictures) that it distributes through the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. Qualifying blind citizens can have braille copies of Playboy (and other magazines like Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, People, etc.) sent to their local libraries.

There’s also an organization in Houston that makes audio versions of popular books and magazines called “Taping for the Blind”. They hired a female Houston DJ to read Playboy for their recordings. In addition to reading the articles, she also describes the pictures.
