The tallest basketball player in the world can grab the rim without jumping!
For comparison, Yao Ming is only 7 feet 6 inches tall. In 2011, Guinness World Records officially recognized him as the world’s tallest professional basketball player. His signature move is the no dunk jump and his basketball number is 55. He weighs 325 pounds!
Tiny is from Loughborough, England and went to Mountain State University. He grew an entire foot between his 16th and 17th birthday and while his dad is tall at 6 feet 8 inches, his mom and sister are only 5 foot 5 inches and 5 foot 6 inches respectively.
He grew up playing soccer and golf, but since his high school didn’t offer golf as a sport, the basketball coach invited him to try out for his team and Tiny has played ever since.
