Sylvester Stallone was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame even though he’s not actually a boxer!

However, the Rocky actor was asked to box one of his fellow inductees! About a decade ago, he was asked to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout for charity. Stallone’s response? “Sure, as long as the charity would be for my life support.” Though not an actual fighter, you would have never realized it with the reception Sly received from the 7,000-plus that showed up for the event!

Though he never really sparred with those larger-than-life opponents on the silver screen, Stallone has done quite a bit to advance the sport’s popularity. He wrote, directed, and starred in 5 of the 6 Rocky films, with the only exceptions being the first and fifth films, which were directed by John G. Avildsen. Appropriately enough, Sylvester’s closed his induction speech with the famous line, “Yo Adrian, I did it!” This just leaves us to wonder if the actor that portrayed Ivan Drago will be ineligible for the Hall of Fame due to his onscreen character’s steroid usage.
