President Obama was known as ‘Barry O’bomber’ in high school!

This nickname was on account of Barack’s jump shot on the basketball court. In his senior year, Obama used these hoops skills to help his high school team to a 60-28 victory in the 1979 Hawaii State Championship! During Punahou High’s massive victory, Obama missed a free throw and scored a layup in the game’s closing minutes. The future president was never a superstar, but he did have something in common with the game’s greatest player - Barack Obama wore the number 23 two years before Michael Jordan’s freshman year at the University of North Carolina!
