Samuel L. Jackson once held Martin Luther King Jr’s dad hostage!

In 1969 a group of students from Morehouse College held its trustees hostage. They demanded reform in the college curriculum and governance. Martin Luther King Sr. was a trustee at the college at that time.

Samuel L. Jackson was one of the students involved and was suspended over the incident. He ended up becoming an actor instead of returning to school. It served him well, since he’s an Academy Award nominee.
