Female OKCupid users find 80% of men to have below-average attractiveness!
OKCupid, the free online dating site, comes out with a lot of interesting statistics on their users. This is an interesting one, because it affects something a lot of people are sensitive about: how they look.
They ran some numbers on how male and female users of their site rate members of the opposite sex. When men rated women on a scale of 1 to 5, they found that Men tended to rate women on a pretty standard curve: a woman had an equal chance of being rated extremely ugly as she did extremely beautiful.
However, when they ran the numbers for females, they rated 80% of guys as worse than medium-looking. They have harsher standards than men! Check out the blog post for more info
