A new app scans people's faces at bars to tell you which bars are best to go to!

The app is called SceneTap and it has cause quite a stir, and not necessarily in a good way. The problem they're trying to solve is this. Say you and your friends want to go to a bar. You choose a place, and you get there, and the crowd is NOT what you're looking for at all.

Bars that partner with SceneTap have a way of giving this information to you. They install a camera in the bar, and that camera uses facial recognition to detect the gender and approximate age of the people. 

With that information, you can quickly see if the crowd you're looking for is at your destination. Maybe you decide the girl to boy ratio is too low, or maybe the party is too tame for you.

Of course, the obvious controversy is that this app is designed to help guys find the bars with the most girls and creep on them. Some people say that this app makes women feel more like hunted prey.
