Daylight savings time can be hazardous to your health!
A Swedish study found that during the first 3 work days after daylight savings time, the number of heart attacks nearly doubles! Also, the first few weeks of daylight savings time sees more suicides and traffic accidents. Also the loss of sleep caused by daylight savings has negative impacts on financial markets.
Because of the health and economic problems it causes, Kazakhstan abolished daylight savings in 2005.
