Uzbekistanian uses boiling as a form of capital punishment!

Death by boiling is a form of execution, used in many parts of Europe and Asia, in which a person is dropped into a cauldron or sealed kettle filled with boiling water, oil, tar, or tallow.

The amount of cruelty can be adjusted; the victim can either be immersed before the liquid is boiled or be thrown head first into the boiling liquid. Executioners are also able to raise or lower a victim by means of a hook and pulley system to control the speed and pain of death.

This method of execution is classified as torture by most international bodies. Although it is outlawed in many parts of the world, Uzbekistan has executed many political dissidents through boiling. The British ambassador of Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, obtained pictures of corpse of 35-year old political prisoner Muzafar Avazov and sent them to forensic pathologists in Britain.

They found severe 4th degree burns on his legs, buttocks, lower back and arms, and 60%-70% of his body that were consistent with a living person being immersed in boiling water. His crime was simply being affiliated with the international Sunni pan-Islamic organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.
