Ella Schuler was so old she couldn’t put her real birthday on Facebook!

Mrs. Schuler was born in 1897 in Fontenelle, Nebraska and lived until 2011! At one point she was named the oldest woman in Kansas and the seventh oldest living person in the world. At the age of 113 she attempted to make a Facebook, but was unable to list her actual age because it would not go back before 1900! While Mrs. Schuler was extremely old, she was actually still a ways away from the record. 

The oldest person to ever have lived that we have documentation about is a woman named Jeanne Calment from France. Calment was born in 1875 and didn’t die until 1997 at the age of 122 years old! Besse Copper holds the current record for the oldest living person at 115 years old, and surprisingly she is from the United States. While we may not be known for our health, some of us have to be doing something right for having over half of the world records for the oldest people!
