Apollo 11 astronauts had to declare moon rocks through customs upon returning to Earth.

It looks like customs doesn’t spare anybody. On July 24 1969, the Apollo 11 crew landed down in the Pacific Ocean after their trip to the moon. The first thing they had to do upon reaching the Honolulu Airport in Hawaii was to declare moon rocks, moon dust, and other lunar samples through customs. 

Not only that, but they also had to fill out the paper work. Yes, the first thing all 3 astronauts autographed after their historic journey was a customs form. 

They listed their flight route as starting in Cape Kennedy, Florida with a stopover on the moon. But it’s not only them, anyone who’s ever gone overseas will tell you that no matter how exciting and amazing your journey was, you can always count on customs to bring you back to Earth.
