Julius Caesar may have worn a laurel wreath to hide his baldness.




Caesar was so concerned about his dome that he was even said to have pioneered the comb-over by growing his hair out to cover the bald spot! Supposedly, Cleopatra recommended that Caesar try a home remedy that consisted of ground up mice, horse teeth, bear grease and deer to cure his hairline problems. Wouldn't it be easier to grow a beard and make a sweet beard comb-over?

Thankfully Caesar didn't follow the example of the Prophet Elisha. Rather than try to cure or cover up his baldness, Elisha just cursed people in the name of the Lord when they teased him about it. When a group of children made the mistake of calling him "baldhead" they were attacked by bears! (2 Kings 2:23-25)
