Harry Andrews was pronounced dead due to spiral meningitis, revived by experimental adrenaline, and went on to serve in France during WWI

He was dead for awhile and they were getting ready to dissect him when a doctor suggested they give him a shot of the “new stuff” which was adrenaline into his heart.

His heart started beating again, but he was blind and paralyzed. He managed to regain his sight and movement and was one of two who survived the spiral meningitis outbreak that infected 7,000 soldiers!
