A man owned a drove the same care for 82 years!
People don’t own a single care for 10 years let alone for 82 years! Allen Swift was given his 1928 Rolls-Royce Picadilly P1 Roadster by his father. It was brand-new and a graduation gift in 1928. Swift drove the car until his death in 2009 at the age of 102. He was the oldest living owner of a car from new. He ended up donating the Rolls-Royce to the Springfield Museum after he died. He owned the amazing car for 82 years. It only had 170,000 miles on it and it still runs like a Swiss watch.
The vehicle is in perfect condition aesthetically and is dead silent at any speed. If you break down the mileage, it was only driven 2,000 miles per year since it was bought in 1928. The car is immaculate and gorgeous. He was very smart to hold onto it for all those years. What a car.
