Walt Disney had a secret apartment above Disneyland’s fire station.

The station was one of the first buildings to be completed inside the park, so naturally Walt spent a great deal of time there. Initially, it probably functioned more as a private office for Disney to do his ‘imagineering,’ but it soon became a secret getaway area where he could bring his family to relax or stay the night. The man who originally decorated the apartment had worked on Disney films such as Mary Poppins and Pollyanna!
