Update: Willie Nelson will NOT have to sing in court.
Judge Becky Dean-Walker of Hudspeth County, Texas says that she thought the prosecutor was joking when he suggested the penalty and that it “got out of hand.” Therefore, Nelson will not have to sing in court and will be subject to the same penalties as any other American on trial. In this case, he just has to pay $378 in fines and court fees.
