The bass player of the Red Hot Chili Peppers has always performed their concerts shirtless!

Michael Peter Balzary is better known by his stage name Flea and best known for being the bassist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. Additionally, he is also one of the co-founding members and composers for the same band, as well as an occasional actor. 

He is highly regarded as one of the best rock bass players of all time. Flea centers his playing on simplicity and minimalism, and it looks like he tries to do the same with his outfits. He normally performs in only pants, or occasionally a full body suit; but never a shirt. 

Every once in a while he, along with the other band members, will perform with only strategically placed socks. And it looks like Flea’s techniques are working; he’s ranked #2 on the Rolling Stone’s "Readers Pick the Top Ten Bassists of All Time."
