It sure is amazing what you can do with a little movie magic and good acting. Even though the actors Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) and Sean Connery (Indiana’s father) only have 12 years between them, they can easily pretend that there is enough difference between them to be in a father-son relationship. That's either a testament to Harrison Ford looking young or Sean Connery looking much older than his age!
The movie demonstrating this father-son bond was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It was a highly successful and well received by the general republic. Worldwide, it earned $474,171,806 in the box office. Several critics, as critics tend to do, claimed the plot was boring and the development of Indiana Jones’ character was poorly done.
Later critics would say the opposite, that the character development was an improvement from the first film. Critics especially liked the relationship between Indiana Jones and his father. They loved the “drama and comedy” that the relationship between the two created.
