Ryan Gosling once brought steak knives to school and threw them at children.

As a child, Gosling went to Gladstone Public School. From very early on, he was bullied. He's said that he hated being a child. In first grade, he watched Rambo: First Blood for the first time and was captivated by it.

He was so influenced and inspired by the story of a man at war with the world that he filled his Fisher-Price magic kit with steak knives, took it to school, and threw them at other kids during recess.

The interesting thing is that this only earned him a suspension. Gosling says that after that, his parents were so terrified that they didn’t let him watch violent movies, and restricted him to Bible movies and nature movies.

His mother quit her job and home schooled him for a year. It wasn’t until he was a teenager and joined a video store that he branched out again with the films he watched.
