It turns out there really is a "Da Vinci Code" after all! The 500-year old masterpiece has always been shrouded in mystery, but Italy's National Committee for Cultural Heritage recently revealed that magnification of the painting's eyes shows tiny letters and numbers! In the right eye, the letters "LV" appear, while in the other can be seen either "BE" or "C." On the bridge in the background, symbols that appear to be the number "72" are also visible.
This secret was discovered after committee member found a record of the symbols in a musty old book he purchased at an antique shop! Experts are still baffled at what the symbols could mean, though "LV" is likely a signature by the artist himself.
