Kermit the Frog was the cause for a hostage situation!

A man broke into a New Zealand radio station and held the manager hostage until his strange demand was met: to play “Rainbow Connection” nonstop! This happened in 1996, the man held a New Zealand radio station manager hostage until he played a song by Kermit the frog!

The 21 year old man also demanded that he be able to speak to listeners or he’d detonate a bomb. Before any real shenanigans could happen the police stormed the building. He was arrested for kidnapping and the bomb was found, which, thankfully was fake.
