George Lucas named Obi-Wan Kenobi’s home planet after Jon Stewart!

George Lucas is one of the richest men in Hollywood, largely due to his epically successful Star Wars and Indiana Jones series, yet did you ever wonder just how he came up with all the different material? 

One answer is rather interesting. During an interview between Jon Stewart of “The Daily Show” and Lucas, a question about Obi-Wan Kenobi’s home planet was raised. 

After chuckling to himself that he had never thought about where Kenobi was from, Lucas later declared the Jedi master was from Stewjon, after Jon Stewart. 

While it may have originally been said in complete sarcasm, being George Lucas he can make virtually any change to Star Wars that he wishes, and the information was permanently added. 

Lucas turned the joke into a Star Wars fact through the “Holocron Continuity Database” and on all official merchandise that Kenobi is from the planet Stewjon!
