Four of America’s past five presidents have been left-handed.
Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan were all southpaws. George W. Bush, ‘on the other hand,’ leans to the right. But wait! Doesn't that picture show Reagan pitching right-handed? It turns out that Reagan was actually ambidextrous!
In an interview with Left Handed Magazine, he once said that he was born a southpaw but learned to use his right hand due to pressure from school and his parents. Oddly enough, this also matches with his political views! Early in his career, “The Gipper” was a liberal and an admirer of FDR. It wasn’t until the 1950’s that Reagan ‘switched sides’ for good, just as he’d done with his dominant hand as a child.
