During test screenings of Apollo 13, a person disliked it because it has a 'typical Hollywood ending' and that the crew should've died at the end!
Apollo 13 is a 1995 docudrama by Ron Howard. It tells the story of the 1970 Apollo 13 mission, which ended in almost complete disaster. The mission was supposed to be the US's third lunar landing. Instead, an onboard explosion drains the ship of oxygen and electricity that almost kills the astronauts.
The movie has been praised not just by the historical accuracy of the events, but also for how technically accurate it was. Howard even employed NASA's technical assistance and trained his cast for a hypothetical mission.
Nevertheless, you can probably imagine the filmmaker's surprise and amusement when they read a review by an early test screen movie-goer who expressed "total disdain" for the movie. The person said that the movie had a typical Hollywood ending and that in real life, the crew would have died!
