Donald Trump has filed for bankruptcy 4 times

Believe it or not, even Donald Trump can have bad luck! In 1991, 1992, 2004, and 2009, the Trump company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in order to cut down debts and in hopes of negotiating with banks.

The first bankruptcy in 1991 resulted in Trump selling his yacht, private airplane, and giving half of his ownership of the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City to the bank as payments!
