After the tsunami, a dog was stranded without food for 3 weeks before being rescued and reunited with its owner.

The dog, “Ban”, was found by the Japanese Coast Guard 1.2 miles offshore, standing on the roof of her house. She had been living in the debris that had been swept away by the Japanese tsunami. The coast guard eventually rescued her from her predicament a few hours after finding her. Their rescue attempts were captured on video, and Ban’s owner saw it all on television. At long last, the two have been reunited.
